Integration of Arts
Looking back at the history of art, one can see that up until today, there are many different art forms. Though they are claimed to be different forms of art, each style or form served as a cataylst to one another or was an integration of different forms of art. Not one form of art is significantly different from another. In the reading, it explained that the Dynabook and the theater that Wagner created are not far from each other. Yes, the Dynabook was a mechanically made multi-medium art unifier so was the theater. Wagner brought together all of the elements within an opera for the audience. The sound, the lighting, the music, and the view of the stage were all elements that Wagner brought together just like the Dynabook did also.
How does technology mediate the artist experience?
Technology changes the artist experience in many ways. Before the advent of the computer and software used for digital art, the artist went through the conventional artist experience. The conventional artist experience was to produce an image or sculpture through their hands. But now, with a click of the mouse, an artist can pull up an image from the internet, make a few changes, and then create something that is considered their own work. There is no hands-on experience in creating this art, literally.
Also another difference technology has brought to on an artist’s experience in producing art is that, there is very little of the trial and error process in getting to the final product. When you have a computer and you need to draw a line, the computer makes the line’s length the exact way you want it and creates a perfectly straight line for the artist. If you were to draw it on paper, you could use a ruler, but if the line wasn’t completely straight then you could think about whether that crooked line is better for you drawing or if you should erase it and redraw the line. Simple details and things that may be trivial to the artist in the conventional artist experience is lost when technology comes into play.
But then again, technology has brought about many new positive aspects to the artist experience. It adds on another form of art, an art that can consist of motion, music, and many more.

Ritual, Ideology, Security, and Authority
Ritual: The National Cathedral many times a week and even a couple times a day hold services. Every time they hold mass that go through the same Episcopalian rituals that have existed and were performed several hundreds of years ago.
Ideology: Episcopalian is the Christian denomination to which the National Cathedral belongs to. Episcopalians different from other religions and other sects of Christianity have their own ideology, in religious terms, theology. The National Cathedral follows that ideology and helps to keep members of the church who go to the National Cathedral in line with the doctrine. The doctrine instills in an individual a way of thinking and judgement and so the National Cathedral influences people in a subtle but powerful way.
Security: Religion always ensures a sense of security into an individual, whether it be that one is guaranteed an eternal life or whether one will one day be born of a higher caste for doing good deeds.
Authority: The National Cathedral has authority, because it has the power over its members of the church. Because the church defends the doctrine and faith upon which it stands, it has authority over the people in what they hear and learn about the Episcopalian faith.

Digital Multimedia
How has digital multimedia transformed art today?
Just a few decades ago, art was confined to drawings, paintings, and sculptures. However, with the introduction of the computer, art has taken on another form expanding it from the traditional meaning. The computer and the softwares used for digitial art has changed the process of creating art. Before you had a paintbrush and palatte in hand but now you have images from you camera and a computer and you can create art. Art also carries a much broader definition. As mentioned before it is no longer confined to the three basic art products (sculptures, paintings, drawings). It is so broad and vague now that people have difficulty defining what art is today. But when looking at all types of art today it seems to me as if art means to create an image, with any medium, and portray in any light the creator wants.
